Affiliate Disclosure
Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and then book or buy something, we may earn a commission — at no extra cost to you. It never changes what we write or recommend.
We believe you should know how a travel guide pays for itself. Here is exactly how ours does.
What an affiliate link is
An affiliate link is a normal link to a company's website that carries a small tracking code. If you make a booking after arriving through that link, the company pays us a small percentage. You pay the same price you would pay by going to the company directly.
Where we use them
You will most often see them on links to booking platforms, tour or ticket sellers, travel insurance, eSIM and rail or transport services — the practical things a trip needs. Editorial and informational guides on this site do not depend on any company's approval.
Our promises
- We recommend only what we would use ourselves or what we believe genuinely helps a trip.
- A commission never buys a mention, a ranking or a positive review. We do not accept payment for placement.
- We decide what each guide says first; affiliate partners are added to links afterwards, if at all.
- A company paying us nothing can still be the option we recommend.
How to spot them
Assume that any outbound link that leads to a booking or purchase page may be an affiliate link. If you would rather not use them, type the company's address directly into your browser and search for the service yourself.
